Block paving driveway, villa frontage
A standard concrete block paving driveway on a semi-detached or villa frontage, herringbone-laid over a compacted Type 1 sub-base with haunched edge restraints. Typically £3,200–£5,200 for a 40m² drive.

Five project types come up again and again. Each needs a different sub-base depth, drainage approach and level of finish.

A standard concrete block paving driveway on a semi-detached or villa frontage, herringbone-laid over a compacted Type 1 sub-base with haunched edge restraints. Typically £3,200–£5,200 for a 40m² drive.

A seamless resin-bound surface over a new permeable base, chosen where drainage compliance and a clean modern finish matter most. Typically £4,000–£6,400 for a 40m² drive.

A continuous hot-laid tarmac surface for larger or sloping driveways, with a block-edged perimeter to protect against the deterioration that starts at an unprotected edge. Typically £2,200–£3,600 for a 40m² drive.

A new vehicle crossing applied for and constructed to Glasgow City Council's specification, built alongside the driveway itself. The council's assessment fee and construction cost are quoted separately from the driveway once current charges are confirmed.

An existing driveway lifted back to formation and rebuilt with a full-depth compacted sub-base, where the original installation was too shallow to last. Priced in line with a new installation of the same material, since the sub-base is rebuilt from scratch.
