Best for
Seamless strength, imprinted patterns, heavy vehicle use
Movement joints control where the slab cracks. Omitting them is the single most common cause of failed concrete driveways.
Fibre or mesh reinforcement plus a minimum 100mm slab is the sensible domestic specification for car loading.
All concrete moves. Correct reinforcement and properly spaced movement joints control where that movement goes so it does not appear as random cracking.
Foot traffic is usually fine after 24 to 48 hours, and vehicles after about seven days, depending on mix and weather.
