A driveway only applies where a property has a private garden or hard standing accessed directly from the street. Tenement flats open onto a shared close or back court and have no road frontage, so they cannot take one. Where frontage exists but no dropped kerb is in place, an application to Glasgow City Council is normally the first step. We confirm both at survey.
